9/23/06 - Clean Up Mesquite.
Hello to all my friends here in Mesquite, as a member of the Keep Mesquite Beautiful board of directors, I would like to take this time to let everyone know that on Saturday, September 23, 2006, Keep Mesquite Beautiful will be hosting its Bi-Annual Mesquite Trash-Bash. It is only one week away.
Keep Mesquite Beautiful and its board invites you, your family and friends, church, businesses, organizations, and clubs to become involved by joining in and helping to keep our community clean by volunteering to pick up littered areas, participating in painting projects, and yard clean ups for the elderly.
The Trash Bash event will be taking place from 7:30 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon at City Lake Park Lakeside Activity Center located at 101 East Holley Park Drive here in Mesquite.
At this time, in the event that the Trash Bash is rained-out (though we really need it) no rain make-up date has been announced.
Let me just say that the Trash Bash is a grand and wonderful event that benefits our town and its citizens. It shows that by working together we can have a positive effect in the community in which we all live in. I do hope to see a great many of you at City Lake Park working towards a cleaner more Beautiful Mesquite.
