Comments beer & wine sales
8/14/07 - After seeing what beer sales has done to Balch Springs, I think people need to reconsider their views on having beer sales in Mesquite. Sure it has brought money to Balch Springs, but the traffic, trash and crime rate (from what I've heard from people I've known that have been broken into) has increased. It's so bad on Lake June, I won't even drive down the street anymore. I've had too many people almost hit me. Mesquite has done just fine all these years without beer sales - you can drink in resturants and private clubs if you want to drink. Surely, the city can find other ways to bring in money. Mesquite is growing a little too fast anyway. If I wanted to live in a big city, I would move back to Dallas. I moved to Mesquite because it had a small town feel.....but, not anymore.
