4/29/06 - Well, I understand that the Hispanic community needs to stand up for what might be justice or fairness to them. But, I'm not going anywhere and I plan on continuing my shopping, and my eating. My husband and his family came to this country to get a better life, I'm just proud that they did it the legal means. They had to work hard to make the money and to get a visa to just come here.
I say that if they want to walk off the job, and boycott retail establishments and not eat at our restaurants that's fine. But, how about the other 85% of the country....since the Hispanic populations is only 15%....How about we all make an effort to go out and eat Monday for dinner and go to the movies and shop.
I'm all for those who want to come here and make a life for their families but it needs to be done through legal channels.
