The editorial regarding the problems with the Mesquite Chamber of 12/3/05 brought quite a few responses. Many of the responses looked at the editorial as a wake up call for the Chamber that could bring about a bigger, better and stronger Mesquite Chamber. Here are some of the comments.

• It might be a good idea for the Chamber to actually visit many of the businesses of Mesquite in lieu of soliciting over the phone. This will help the Mesquite Chamber and Board better understand what Mesquite businesses would like and expect from the Chamber.
• Explain to prospective new members or pass members the vision of the Mesquite Chamber.
• The Chamber should hold open houses to introduce the benefits of joining.
• With a little positive thinking and networking the Chamber can become a shining star for the Mesquite business community

It's great to see how a small editorial can provoke so many positive thoughts and ideas.
